Well, we're finally back after a long hiatus, of what, a year or so since our last release. Recently control has been passed on to a majority of the team so that we could finally get back to sharing the stuff we create with you guys. Recently we have been making updates to the site to make it organized and easier to use. Since that last release we have created a LOT of stuff so it is no surprise that this release is massive, 60+ pieces of content massive. Including some great content from Daniel (Trainboi1), some gorgeous reskins from Taylor (817Taylor) and Jackson (Jacksonbarno) and various updates and new items. So we are proud to share with you some of our finest works made since our last release. Enjoy!

Trainz Forge is in motion once again! Our main admins have passed control over so that the majority of our team can now maintain and update the site. This means heavy revisions can start taking place...and new releases. We are hoping for something in the short-term that will include several of my models currently hosted at the Carson Car Shops as well as a myriad of other pieces from our team. We'll do our best to keep posting as work progresses.

Happy Tuesday to everyone!  It's UP4021 again.   Just been a while since I've done one of these so I figure this is overdue.  For the past month or so, there has been a tremendous amount of content uploaded to the site.  In late March Adam (simulatortrain) gave us a few scenery items to upload.  The projects they were made for weren't really going anywhere, and since most of his scenery is on this site anyway, it seemed to only make sense.  Dan and I decided to also throw some downloads in and so came about the great scenery release of a month ago.  I thought that this release would come soon after, but instead things were updated and added to the pile, and now in the past three days there has been a surge of content for you to enjoy.

For our Easter gift to the Trainz community, Ulmer94 made available his Katy F7 pack and some T&P boxcars updated from the ones previously available on the site (nevermind the fact that they're actually still available, I'll get to that soon).  Today, there is the latest offering up of Trainboi1's content, this time centered around the Colorado & Southern.  You could very well make an entire roster with that alone, but to top it all off he's also released some North Tahoe Narrow gauge equipment and a pack of Moguls for Montanawestren's up and coming Washington and Deuschutes Narrow Gauge route.  We all hope you enjoy the content!

On a note as far as the site is concerned, I have some changes planned for the coming week or two.  You can hope to see a finally fully cleaned up site as well as some new features such as a trains organized on new pages "by type" and "by railroad."  Also for those dependency hunters out there, I'll be adding a Kuid Directory page, including the kuid numbers of everything available on the site as well as a link to the download.  This should hopefully ease the pain of the dreaded kuid search-and-destroy that comes with downloading any new route.

I'll get into more about that stuff later, but for now enjoy the new content and happy Trainzing!

The "Coming Soon" ad on the homepage was there long enough, so it's been replaced with the words we've all been waiting to hear: "Released."  For the first time on this site, an occasion that has been a long time coming, there are locomotives custom made by a member of the site: none other than our newest member trainboi1.  Granted, as many of you in the Trainz community are already aware, trainboi1 has already made an impressive amount of locomotives and rolling stock currently available on the N3V Download Station.  The newest releases however, being the product of months of testing and conspiring with the elite in the world of steam for Trainz, are truly something to behold.  As always, especially now, if none of these SP narrow gauge locomotives (or variations thereof) strike your fancy, there are already a number of steam locomotives piling up, all just by this prolific modeler alone.
Of course, we cannot forget where most of our talents already lie, and more of the stuff already familiar to the site has also been uploaded this evening.  Ulmer94 has come up with an awesome set of three Kansas City Southern F7s designed meticulously from photos of the prototype, and rbar_164 has re-imagined the scheme for his Burnmouth & Union railroad, producing more units for use in freight and to match the future passenger cars.

Hey all!  It's site caretaker UP4021 here!  You may have noticed that there hasn't been much news around here for literally the past month (which come to think of it really isn't our longest leave of absence from the outside world), but if this lack of cold hard news has left you uneasy, you may rest assured knowing that A LOT has been going on behind the scenes.  For one we've been playing with some new ideas pertaining to site themes, and so far this has been the winner.  So hold tight as we awesome-ify the site to it's newer splendor.

You may have also taken note of the stuff on the home page.  In case you were wondering, the answer is definitely no: our newest member Trainboi1 has NOT slowed down in his content creation since joining, but has been assisted by us to make every upcoming release something perfect (though I'm sure he just finds it all just a hindrance [tehe] though I digress).  So you can expect a whole new page full of his stuff coming soon, as well as some other things from a few of our other creators just around the corner.

Hey, it's UP4021 again!  Happy first week of 2014!  We've recently put up our latest offering op for download: a few T&P things from Andrew (ulmer94) including a 2-8-2 mikado (number 802) and an updated Eagle train set.  All dependencies should be included, and those that aren't can be found either at Ben Neal's site http://steammachine.com/bdaneal/ or on the DLS.
On the subject of the site, work is still progressing towards complete renovation.  On most pages, particularly the F7 page at this point in time, you may notice some discrepancies between themes.  Some files will look more completed than others.  The reason for this more gradual change is because each asset requires new pictures and descriptions, and every download link is being checked to make sure it still works properly.  If it does not, then it will be replaced.  You can tell which ones have been replaced thus far by looking for ones with the new orange download button.  Everything else is unfortunately, for the time being... unknown.

Hey folks!  It's UP4021 here.  Just wanted to pop in and try this new blog deal and say on behalf of the entire Trainz Forge team (some of which I'm sure aren't yet aware of this thing's existence) MERRY CHRISTMAS!  As our gifts to you, our loyal visitors, many of our talented content creators have put together a few of their models and have agreed to add it to our ranks for all of you to enjoy!  If for some reason your thirst for Trainz content has not been quenched after going through our already very extensive list of new releases, then you need not fret as we already have new stuff ready for the next release.  Said release will come sooner than you know.

For those who haven't ventured around these parts lately, the answer is yes.  Yes we have changed the look of the site, and we hope you find it just as aesthetically pleasing and easy to use as the last, if not more.  More is better.  I've been helping stmsoccer out in getting the site moved completely over from the previous theme to the new, but you may notice that some pages (most pages) are not quite spic and span.  We apologize for the inconvenient eye sores, and we very much appreciate your patience as we go about our work.  In the mean time, it would be so very much appreciated if you would ignore some of that ugliness for now as best you can, and we shall have everything looking all neat and tidy ASAP.  If you just go to the New Releases tab, however, you should find that it will get you the content you so desire without having to search through our work in progress site too much.
